The bed and  the river

Like water runs down a river,

we connect with the water with us being ephemeral,

and the river with eternal life.

Nothing of this is true.

The water is the ever lasting life, that runs through you.

We are the silent bed,

and remain for ever

our SELF

Heal the World

Ok so we’re in a crisis, a crisis which evolves the entire world.  Is that really so? The whole world sees it, but does the entire world feels it? We do question this, because if the whole world would feel this…and faces the aftermath, they would do something about it no. But many of them just go on. They don’t see this crisis as their own. That’s where the discussion is about. The argument sometimes hardball, is about what kind of crisis this is.

This crisis is no economical crisis, or an ideological crisis. This crisis is an identity crisis. An identity crisis arises when a person doubt sits identity: Who am I, When he doesn’t know who he is than he doesn’t know what to do. He doubts his goals in life. He lost all direction.

This World lost all direction. In earlier days everything seemed to be easier. One had winners and losers in a war. The winner takes it all, took the biggest slice of the pie. The losers were left empty handed. Till the turn of the tide, till the cards were reshuffled, but this took a long time, a very long time.

One had aggressors and victims. The victims always lost, like the Indians loose from the cowboys. Struggle for life. The survival of the fittest, no one doubts this …and still. Within these sentences lies the identity crisis..

The conqueror incorporates all power and although a murder is no longer tolerated, we’re faced with a problem. One can murder someone financially…still they call it free enterprise. It’s a matter of looking at things, but here the conqueror gets all power. We believed in this till now, and most of us still do. The money game they call it, or being ambitious, but at what cost. We are confronted with our own convictions, basic rules, and are losing track.

The winner of today is the loser of tomorrow. It goes to fast. We are faced with our own frozen convictions. They don’t work anymore. We get in conflict with our self, the whole world at once. It is a midlife crisis, and we are all in the same boat.

Is this what I wanted? Life as we define it now has become a personal trauma.

A trauma is the opposite of being empowered. When we have trauma we are surely not empowered, not even ourselves. We are being overwhelmed by the situation and didn’t find any answer. The situation ( as victim) was too threatening and maybe life threatening.

This definition doesn’t tell the whole story. Why was I a winner yesterday and a loser today. There is no strait line between winner and loser. In earlier days one had a job for life. These long term (un)certainties are no longer there. We step into a marriages and relationships more quickly but we leave them at the same speed. There are no certainties anymore. The braking down of old values has made us more vulnerable for a personal crisis; even a global crisis and then we face a personal and/or global trauma.

But why a crisis or trauma? Why me and no one else? A crisis can be a possibility for growth, when one has the flexibility to adjust to the new situation. Why are we thrown out of our self with a trauma or a crisis? What made one fall and didn’t happen to the other one.

To understand a midlife crisis one needs to analyse the identity of the appointed person. What does he believe, what are his convictions, his values, which are being challenged at that time? Those we need to change than, adjust to move on in the end with new ideas and hopes.

To understand a World crisis we need to understand what makes us unbalanced, where and why. Why does it undermine our integrity, does it hurt us. Why does it challenge our view on the world and thus the view on ourselves.

A trauma is an attack of the self image of a person.

Every attack on the self image of a person is a trauma.

Any attack on the self image of a person results in a crisis and maybe a resulting trauma.

This traumatic World crisis is an attack on the self image of human kind.

Is life a struggle for life?

Is working the highest goal in life?

Is money sanctifying?

Who are we?

What are we doing here?

What is the purpose of life?

Who am I?

It’s obvious are image of ourselves doesn’t fit our clothes anymore.

Every institution and organisation which rules the World is tumbling down. This is only possible because our self image is being squashes on the rocks of reality. The truth hits as foolish waves on our bastion: WHO AM I, and breaks every resistance.

This is the question we need to ask. This is the question we need to find an answer to, if we want to heal these traumas.

The only answer one can find is the following:

‘I’ cannot do when ‘I’ (my self image) is not free.

Only in freedom one can do.

Acting in ‘ no freedom’ is not only renouncing your self but is ‘NOT DOING’. It is copying, monkeying.

The new World asks to act ‘free’ by first ‘being’ free.

Who is not free can’t do, and this World is dying over acting in ‘no-freedom’.

We only act in fear, with rusted convictions about our self ( and the world). We act upon copied memories, which aren’t ours. With memories which are not ours, we act upon them, upon references which are not ours and don’t work by default. We are in shock.

To recover from this shock, we need to heal ourselves, our trauma, our image of the World, our self image.

We tried to describe this healing process and go through them within three books. The overview is a walk about through our current World. Our basic principles and how we constructed them. It is a bumpy, capricious road through our convictions of our self and the world.

Our goal is that you join out thinking, analyse it and if correct, integrate it.

It is our offer to our self  and the World to heal this trauma, this global crisis, this identity crisis to transform it into positive powers and ideas.

It is the path we went to our inner freedom and therefore our outer freedom. It is not the only road but it is the only goal. The target is freedom. The target is inner freedom, outer freedom, freedom of thought, freedom of acting.

It is our path to the exit. It is our path to the entrance, the way in to life, understanding life and from this understanding acting on it. Your task is to chew it, to process it, to integrate it…or not.

You are free. You are free to read this book or not.

You are free to agree on the content or not.

You are free to do so.

But you are not free not to live. You must live or you don’t belong here. You must experience or experiencing Earth is not your thing. You must see this crisis through, or you shut your eyes to this world. And if this world doesn’t concern you, the World doesn’t have to take you in account.

This is the law of cause and effect.
